CHILDCARE CENTER IN FRUITCOVE

Where every child grows at their own pace

At Little Grove Academy we pair close, individual care with hands-on, play-based learning, in a setting built for exploring, stumbling, and growing — like a grove, where every tree grows differently and all of them belong to the same wood.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Three roots behind everything we do

Individual care

Small groups by age and one lead teacher who knows each child, their pace, and their interests — not a one-size-fits-all curriculum.

Learning through play

Guided play is the method, not the reward — it's how language, motor skills, and self-regulation are built in the early years.

A community of families

Daily reports, an open-door policy for visits, and teachers you can reach at drop-off and pickup — we grow alongside your family, not just your child.

PROGRAMS

A classroom for every stage

6 weeks – 12 months

Seedlings (Infants)

Individual sleep and feeding routines, sensory play, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

1 – 2 years

Sprouts (Crawlers)

Active exploration, first words, and the first steps toward independence — with warm, consistent limits.

2 – 3 years

Saplings (Early Preschool)

Pretend play, songs and rhymes, and the first real agreements about getting along in a group.

3 – 4 years

Branches (Preschool)

Letters, numbers, and hands-on science through real projects — more structure, without losing the play.

4 – 5 years

Canopy (Pre-K)

Kindergarten readiness: early reading and writing, math thinking, and personal independence.

DIRECTOR'S DIARY

Little stories from our days

From time to time, our director shares a small story from inside the Grove — a classroom moment worth remembering.

M
October 2026

The littlest gardener

This morning, one of our Saplings friends found a ladybug on the playground fence and refused to let anyone touch it — "She's resting," he said — until he'd walked three of his classmates over, one by one, to see her for themselves.

By snack time the whole table was drawing ladybugs, and our science shelf has a new "bug watching" corner that the children asked for themselves. It's these small, unplanned moments — curiosity leading the whole room — that remind us why we build so much open time into every day.
